HP Apollo Series Ink Cartridges

HP's Apollo Series printers are ideal for optimizing desk space while producing high-quality, detailed prints in black and white or color. This printer is reliable and cost-effective, making it a great way to boost productivity in your home or small office.

When it comes time to replace your HP Apollo printer ink, many customers experience difficulty finding the ink they need without overspending due to high ink prices. Luckily, our selection of compatible and remanufactured ink at Supplies Outlet will help you save money without reducing quality.

What Ink Is Compatible With the HP Apollo Series?

Every printer contains a microchip that corresponds to a specific ink cartridge number. With this microchip, you can insert an HP brand or compatible cartridge into your printer without voiding the warranty, as long as they are the correct number. Your printer's cartridge number is the brand of your printer followed by a number and, for some makes and models, letters as well.

Finding the cartridge number is an easy process you can complete in a variety of ways. You can find this number by searching your owner's manual, looking at the box your printer came in or opening the lid of your printer and examining the cartridges you are currently using.

Another option is to use the ink database on the Supplies Outlet website. After inputting your printer's information, you will see our selection of compatible and remanufactured inks that will operate in your printer.

How to Replace or Install Ink Cartridges for the HP Apollo Series

Throughout the life of your HP Apollo Series printer, you will replace the ink cartridges many times. When your ink is running low, you may notice a decline in printing quality, such as your color prints having a faded quality. Other indications you need to replace your ink include horizontal or vertical streaks on printing jobs.

One of the more obvious signs that your ink is running low is the temporary disabling of certain functions or a pause in printing altogether until you input a new cartridge. To ensure your printer continues functioning as intended, replace your ink by completing the following:

  1. Turn on the printer and load paper into the paper tray.
  2. Locate the ink cartridge access door in the top front of the printer and lift it upward. The ink cartridge carriage will move to the center of your printer. Wait for the carriage to stop moving before continuing with the next steps.
  3. Lightly press down on the ink cartridge you'd like to remove and then pull it toward you out of the slot. Set the empty ink cartridge aside, and be careful not to touch the nozzles to prevent getting ink on your skin.
  4. Take your new ink cartridge out of the package and remove any protective packaging. Be sure not to touch the copper-colored electrical contact or the ink nozzle. Touching the contacts may cause a bad electrical connection which will cause your printer to reject the new ink cartridge. If you touch the nozzle, you may get ink on your skin or cause damage to the nozzle.
  5. Gently slide the new cartridge into place. When you hear a snapping sound, it means your cartridge is in the correct location. If you do not hear a snapping sound, do not force your cartridge into position. Instead, remove it and continue trying until you hear the snap.
  6. Close the ink cartridge access door and resume printing as normal.

If you continue to see a decline in printing quality after replacing your cartridges, you may need to clean the electrical contacts. To clean the electrical contacts, remove your ink cartridge and gently wipe them down with a damp cloth. After the cartridges dry, insert them into your printer again and resume printing.

Why Buy Compatible Ink for the HP Apollo Series?

While shopping for HP Apollo printer ink, you may notice that the prices of printers remain relatively the same while the cost of ink continues to rise. Many printer companies use this business strategy to make a profit, making it difficult for their customers to find affordable ink, even with a discount. Since Supplies Outlet does not have this overhead, we can sell our inks at lower prices to the benefit of our customers.

Generic ink is very similar in concept to generic brands you may see at retailers such as grocery stores or other supply locations. Like these generic brands, our compatible ink may differ in size or shape to an HP ink. These differences result from patent restrictions but will produce a similar printing quality and page yield as HP ink.

In addition to being great products, our selection is also great for the environment. Our remanufactured ink cartridges are name brand cartridges that undergo one cycle of use before disassembly, cleaning and reassembly. Our compatible cartridges also use recycled materials, making either option an excellent way to lower your environmental impact.
