Canon BJC Series Ink Cartridges

Canon's BJC Series of printers is the perfect machine whether you need to print a memo or a business report. As a compact, portable device, this printer works well both in an office or at home.

If you use your printer frequently, you may already be familiar with the cycle of running out of ink and needing to buy a replacement to keep your prints looking clear. Over time, buying Canon BJC ink cartridges such as Canon BJC 1000 or Canon BJC 2000 may become expensive and cause you to exceed your budget. At Supplies Outlet, our compatible inks are a cost-effective alternative without sacrificing quality.

What Ink Is Compatible With the Canon BJC Series?

Canon BJC compatible ink is a brand new printer cartridge made by a third-party manufacturer. Due to patent restrictions, your cartridge may look slightly different from your Canon BJC 2000 ink cartridge, for example, but it will still fit and operate in your machine.

Another way to think about your compatible cartridge is the generic version of your Canon BJC 80 or Canon BJC 250 ink cartridge. Similar to a third-party brand you may see at a grocery store or other retailers, a third-party ink cartridge is of the same quality as a Canon brand at a significantly lower price.

Name brand ink is often expensive to help companies regain a profit after reducing the price of their printers. With this business model in place, many customers find it difficult to find supplies such as Canon BJC 210 or Canon BJC 2100 ink at affordable prices, even with a coupon or discount. Since Supplies Outlet does not have the same overhead as a printer company, we can sell our compatible ink at lower prices.

How to Replace or Install Ink Cartridges for the Canon BJC Series

One of the more important maintenance tasks you will need to perform on your Canon BJC Series printer is replacing the ink cartridges. When your ink is running low, the low-ink warning light will turn on. To replace the ink in your printer, complete the following steps:

  1. Turn on the printer and press the cartridge button. Wait for the cartridge to move to the center and for the power lamp to start flashing. If the cartridge does not move right away, your printer may need to cool down for a few minutes before you replace the ink.
  2. Gently flip open the top cover. To remove the color cartridge, press and raise the white hook. To remove the black ink cartridge, press and lift the grey hook. While replacing the cartridges, it's important not to touch the orange film cable or the green tab.
  3. Remove the empty cartridge and set it aside. Before inputting your new ink cartridge, remove the orange protective cap. Align the cartridge with the filter on the bottom and insert it to align with the arrow marks.
  4. Gently press downward until you hear the ink cartridge click into place.
  5. Close the top cover and press the cartridge button. The cartridge holder will move into position, and the print heads will undergo cleaning before you can resume printing.

What can you do with your empty ink cartridge? An environmentally-friendly option is to recycle it. This option can help to reduce the amount of waste in landfills and prevent possible contamination from chemical runoff.

If you decide to recycle your cartridge, you can bring them to an office supply store or your local waste and recycling facility. Many office supply stores have a recycling program already in place, making it easy to drop off your cartridge. Additionally, many local waste and recycling facilities have e-waste programs in place, allowing you to safely recycle your cartridges or other electronics you no longer use.

Why Buy Compatible Ink for the Canon BJC Series?

In some cases, you may even spend more on ink than you spent on your printer.
